In the buildup to Saturday’s Champions League final between Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid, we’ve been hearing plenty of strong words from the men in white.
Cristiano Ronaldo, for example, insisted during his open media day that Real are simply better than Atletico, and that they’re going to prove that on the pitch.
Gareth Bale has also added a bit of spice to proceedings, albeit unwittingly.
Asked during a radio interview whether any Atletico players would get into Madrid’s starting XI, Bale replied ‘No’ with a big wide grin on his face.
