Chelsea restored their 10-point lead at the top of the Premier League table with a 2-1 victory at London rivals West Ham United.The Blues struggled to get into their rhythm early on but they took the lead on 25 minutes when Eden Hazard calmly finished off a fine counterattack.Diego Costa made it 2-0 in the second half when he forced home Cesc Fabregas’s corner, and he had a chance to add another but he was denied by a superb Darren Randolph save.
Chelsea, meanwhile, came from behind to beat Newcastle United with Eden Hazard adding two more to his goal tally for the season.
Another win for the Blues will draw them level with second-placed Manchester United ahead of Sunday’s derby against Manchester City and Antonio Conte will know kicking off the weekend action is an opportunity to pile the pressure on.
