Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

Crystal Palace’s season is already better than it was at the start of October last term, when the Eagles had no points or goals. Now, the ‘Eagles’ could break a club record; a win here would make Roy Hodgson’s Palace side the first to attain four straight home league wins for the club in the Premier League (PL).
Regardless of the result, it is set to be a thriller at Selhurst Park. Sixty-three percent of Palace’s home games last term saw over 2.5 goals, whilst 74% of Liverpool’s away games saw the same. Liverpool also kept just five clean sheets on the road in 2017/18.

The 4-0 victory for Liverpool last Sunday was their biggest opening day victory since 1932/33, and their 500th win in the PL era. The last time these two met on a Monday night, Liverpool infamously blew a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 in May 2014, as the PL title slipped from the Reds’ grasp.
