Liverpool, Manchester City target Rabiot verbally agrees transfer

The LaLiga giants believe in the word of the player and in that of his mother and representative after several meetings with Barca technical secretary Eric Abidal and general manager Pep Segura. The report claims Rabiot will now ignore interest from his many suitors including Liverpool and Manchester City.

There is no official agreement in place, because legally the 23-year-old cannot sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club until January 1.PSGp resident Nasser Al-Khelaifi does not want to lose Rabiot and is “personally involved in the matter” but Rabiot is said to have made his decision and will be heading to Catalonia next summer.

According to Get French Football, PSG offered Rabiot wages of €7.2m a year (which equates to £123,000 a week) over a new three-year deal – which would have made the midfielder their third highest earner behind Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and on a par with fellow midfielder Marco Verratti.
