PSG vs Liverpool

PSG are not in fine position before this derby. They will be unable to finish in the top two if they lose and Napoli win and this game is going to be very important for them. PSG won only one of their last seven UEFA Champions League matches and all players are highly motivated. PSG are also without a win in their last five games against English opposition and it will be another one motive to beat The Reds. But, they have lost only one of their eight home fixtures against English teams. Neymar scored ten goals in 11 league games this season and he will be the most important player for the hosts. PSG have fantastic trio in attack, they have three of this season’s top five Ligue 1 goalscorers.

Liverpool have won both home games but lost both away in previous four rounds in Group C. Liverpool like to play aggressive football in attack and they have scored an average of 3.15 goals per game. The Reds are in fantastic run and they secured yet another Premier League win at the weekend. All players are in full of confidence and they will try to score a goal more in Paris. The Reds know that a win at the Parc des Princes will secure a place in the last 16 and for sure they will do their best to pick up important points on Wednesday night.

Paris coach Thomas Tuchel: “This is a challenge because Liverpool are one of the greatest teams in Europe. I think we are ready. Liverpool play as a team in every single game and you can see the influence of Jürgen. There is a possibility we don’t win, but it is very important we focus on winning.”

Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp: “It is a tough one to come to Paris and go for a result but I think we should try. Two very ambitious teams will face each other in an interesting situation in the group. Paris are so dominant in the league, we have to make sure they are not that dominant against us.”
