Manchester United and Chelsea are both involved in a battle for a top four finish in the closing stages of this season and thus, a spot in next year’s Champions League. Red Devils come into this match in a far worse state having lost seven of their last nine games in all competitions including both legs of their Champions League quarter final with Barcelona and a pivotal derby against Manchester City in midweek.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Prediction

Both teams desperately need this win. For United, it’s a matter of survival. A loss, and it’s almost goodbye to Champions League till 2020, and it would bring their run to eight losses from the last ten games. For Chelsea, a loss will see them concede ground to Arsenal in the race to secure a top-four spot.As such, expect a fierce game this weekend, and having no other go, both squads would be going in for the kill – a perfect setting for a goal-fest. Expect either team to get in on the scoresheet.

The fact that the venue is Old Trafford will come into play. How hard a time United is having, they will always be a threat at the Theatre of Dreams. After all, they are the Devils.
