Liverpool are still looking for their first trophy under the management of Jurgen Klopp. The Reds have come close on several occasions, losing out in Europa League and Champions League finals under their German boss, but they’ve been better than ever this season to remain within touching distance of league leaders Manchester City going into the final few weeks of the season plus to make it through to the final four in Europe once again.

For us, Blaugrana will be too strong in front of their own fans for Liverpool. They appear to have grown more streetwise and difficult to beat under Valverde and with the quality of Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez in their ranks they are one of admittedly few teams with the quality to get the better of this Barca backline. Although they didn’t score, Manchester United caused Barca problems of their own in the last round and with a more potent attack we expect Liverpool to take advantage of one of those chances here so the home win and both teams to score bet is our first tip at 2/1 with PaddyPower.
