Michy Batshuayi scored twice as our development squad continued their impressive start to the season against Liverpool last night

Batshuayi sent a message to Lampard on Monday with two goals against Liverpool and believes he can still change the Chelsea boss’ mind about his inclusion in the first-team.

Lampard watched from the stands as Chelsea’s development squad beat Liverpool 3-0 and will have been impressed with Batshuayi’s finishing.

Chelsea paid £33million to lure Batshuayi from Marseille in 2016, but the Belgian has struggled to nail down a regular place at Stamford Bridge.

Olivier Giroud and Tammy Abraham are currently ahead of Batshuayi in the striking pecking order at Chelsea.

Batshuayi was Antonio Conte’s first signing, but has consistently been shipped out on loan since his arrival.
