Everton vs Manchester City Match Preview

Everton’s strong home form deserted them last week and their manager Marco Silva is likely to find himself under increasing pressure following another defeat against Manchester City.

Silva has never been universally hailed as the right man for Everton but having ended last season strongly, and seen the club spend big on new players in the summer, he has presided over what can only be classed as a disappointing start to this campaign.

The Toffees had been fending off some of the critics by winning their home games, but a 2-0 loss to Sheffield United at Goodison Park last Saturday was exactly the sort of result to attract lots of unwelcome comments from the media – and Everton supporters too, come to that.
