Kosovo vs Czech Republic Match Preview
Kosovo, competing in only their second ever qualifying campaign, have made a huge improvement – but are backed to lose against the Czech Republic on Saturday.
The Balkan state have only been FIFA members since 2016 and in their debut attempt to reach a major tournament, last year’s World Cup, they collected only one point from a possible 30. Now, however, they are already much more of a force.
The quality of the Kosovo squad has risen with some players switching back from their adoptive countries and after a successful UEFA Nations League campaign in which they secured a Euro 2020 play-off place, they are now threatening to get there as of right.
Undefeated in their first three games, the team nicknamed the Dardanians have drawn away to Montenegro and collected four points out of six against Bulgaria, putting them right in the mix with England and the Czech Republic for the all-important top two places in Group A.
