FC Barcelona are placed first in Group D and have accumulated eleven points from the first five games. So far in their UEFA Champions League group campaign, they’ve won three times and gotten a draw on two occasions while having a positive goal difference of +6. In the previous round, they drew against Juventus by the score of 0-0. Both teams had their chances but failed to capitalize on them.
Sporting are placed third and it seems like their form is improving. After a two-game losing streak, they managed to change their ways, first by getting a draw against Juventus and then by winning against Olympiakos.
Barcelona have many missing players for the match against Sporting Lisbon. Rafinha, Ousmane Dembélé, Javier Mascherano, Nélson Semedo, Samuel Umtiti and Andrés Iniesta are all injured and they will not play on Tuesday.
