Liverpool is the hottest team in Europe right now. Their confidence has no limits after giving the boot to Barcelona, that too, after trailing by three goals, and with no away goal to count on.
Anfield really did show that the ground is one of the toughest in the continent for visitors.

After delivering a 4-0 loss to the mighty Barcelona, dealing with the Wolves will not be that much of an ask. After all, the support of Anfield is behind them. At this point in their league campaign, all the Reds could do is, do their job and hope. Win against Wolves, and hope that City is held at least to a draw by Brighton.
While the chances for that are slim, Jurgen Klopp’s men have no other option. It’s been almost three decades without a league title, and the wait’s been miserable.
Liverpool was unbeaten in 21 of their last 22 games and won 13 of their last 15. At home, the team is unbeaten in their last 20 attempts and won the last seven in a row. They also won 17 of their last 19 home ties. Wolves, meanwhile, lost three of their last four matches on the road and was winless in six of their last seven.
Just days after a thriller 4-0 win over Barcelona in Champions League, which saw Jurgen Klopp’s men through to the Final despite a 3-0 loss at Camp Nou, Liverpool host Wolverhampton in a last-ditch effort to snatch the top spot in Premier League on the final day of the campaign.
Reds have been furious and bagged 12 wins in 13 outings since early March and we should see them in great shape on Sunday, despite missing Roberto Firmino, Naby Keita, Andy Robertson, and possibly still Mo Salah.
They’ve been netting numbers of goals along the way but we’ve also seen rock-solid displays at the back, especially at Anfield.
Wolves have largely struggled for consistency on the road but we’ve seen them in great shape most recently, as they connected a three-match winning streak with success over Arsenal (3-1), Watford (1-2), and Fulham (1-0) and sit just outside the league’s top 6.
Nuno Espirito Santo has been widely praised for such a success and he’ll now want more from his men, despite no high stakes for them at this point. They’ve only ended a six-match winless streak with points at Watford (1-2), though, and this will be more worrying.
