Ernesto Valverde handed the Brazil international his La Liga bow tonight as Alaves made the trip to the Nou Camp.
Coutinho lasted 66 minutes and it was not until he was withdrawn that Barcelona turned the match around, with goals from Luis Suarez and Lionel Messi securing a 2-1 win.
