A member of the left-wing congressional ‘Squad’ made the news recently and not in a good way. Seems police found a body at a Boston property owned by Rep. Ayanna Pressley’s ex-convict husband, and now police have more information to share.Boston police have officially ruled the death of 18-year-old Yoseliani Ann Marte Ocasio a homicide. The young woman was found with an apparent gunshot wound on July 18 at a multi-family property in the Mattapan neighborhood of Boston — a property owned by Conan Harris, the husband of Pressley.
Officers responded to the Malta Road address just before 2 p.m. on July 18 and found Ocasio at the scene. She was pronounced dead there. The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the homicide ruling Thursday.
No arrests have been made. No suspects have been publicly named. The investigation is ongoing.
Ocasio’s mother had told Boston 25 News shortly after the discovery that she believed her daughter had been murdered. That belief has now been confirmed by the medical examiner.
The property had been listed for $1.15 million but was taken off the market following the discovery. There is no public indication at this time of any connection between Pressley, her husband, or anyone in their household and the circumstances of Ocasio’s death.
This is a developing story. A young woman is dead, her family deserves answers, and Boston police are pursuing a homicide investigation. We’ll continue to follow it as facts become available.
