Gareth Bale’s top 5 Champions League moments
Real Madrid star and Wales international Gareth Bale has caught up with the lads from Copa 90 recently to discuss his top 5 Champions League moments. Bale, who joined Real Madrid from Tottenham in 2013 (for a world record fee of €100 million), has established himself as of the greatest footballers in the world since his move. He has scored 47 goals in just 81 league games for Madrid and has settled in quite well, considering the pressure he has had from his big money price tag.
The 26-year-old discussed his top 5 Champions League moments by starting with the obvious, and stating number one was obviously to lift the trophy. Bale described it as an amazing feeling and one he will always remember.
Bale then went on to say another great Champions League moment of his was scoring a hat-trick against Inter Milan, in his Spurs days. He said the hat-trick gave him that belief to push on and kick on, to get better in order to achieve more in football. He also added that he of course, still has the match-ball to this day!
