Tottenham booked their spot in the knockout round of the competition by finishing second to Barcelona in Group B. They were paired with Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 but made light work of the Bundesliga giants, running out 4-0 winners on aggregate to make the final eight.
Man City dropped points in two of their six matches in the group stage of the competition but comfortably topped Group F on 13 points to breeze into the next round. It was a fairly straightforward section, though, with Lyon qualifying in second spot behind Shakhtar Donetsk and Hoffenheim.
