Torino vs AS Roma

Torino and Roma will kick off their 2018/19 campaigns when they meet at the Stadio Olimpico di Torino on Sunday in their first opening day meeting since 1977/78 and fifth in total since 1929.
After ending last season with two straight wins to claim ninth place, Torino have had an encouraging pre season winning four of their five games, as well defeating Cosenza 4-0 in the Coppa Italia last weekend.
Torino had an average home record last season (W8, D6, L5) and have a poor record at home to Roma, beating them only once in the last 17 SA games (D10, L7) here.

Roma enjoyed a good 2017/18 season finishing third, but way adrift of the top two. Nevertheless, they have only lost one of their last 12 SA games (W8, D3, L1) and are unbeaten in 11 away league games (W7, D4). Roma’s pre season saw mixed results but they did impressively dispatch Barcelona 4-2.
