Lionel Messi: 300 games at Camp Nou

Lionel Messi is the protagonist before, during and after the games. On this occasion he will make his 300th appearance for Barcelona at Camp Nou.
The number speaks for itself, but there are more interesting stats. He’s won 246 of those games, 82.2 per cent. He’s scored 309 goals, 1.03 per game. And he’s started 266 of those matches. 88 per cent.


Messi is the great hero of Camp Nou. During his time he has gone on a 48 game unbeaten run there. Between September 14, 2010 and April 10, 2012, he won 42 games and drew 6, scoring 66 goals. Other good runs were between March 2015 and 16, 29 games, and between Feb 2007 and May 2008 (28).

More numbers

Messi has played most of those games in La Liga – 200. 56 in the UCL and 34 in the Copa del Rey, and 9 in the Spanish Super Cup. The goals are broken down as 212 in La Liga, 55 in the UCL, 31 in the cup and 11 in the Super Cup.

Sevilla have conceded 19 goals to him, followed by Espanyol (18), Athletic, Osasuna and Valencia (16). The visitors today, Getafe, have shipped 11. Real Madrid have let in 10.

Messi has never lost in any of the milestone games – he won on his first at Camp Nou, against Osasuna (3-0), his 50th against Levante, 5-1, scoring a goal, his 100th, 3-0 against Depor, his 150th, against Bayer Leverkusen scoring FOUR in a 7-1 win, his 200th, against Betis (3-1, he netted two), and the 250th, against Arsenal in the Champions League, scoring a goal.
