A fit-again Justin Gulley is set to make his long-awaited A-League return as Wellington Phoenix coach Mark Rudan confirms multiple changes will be made for Friday night’s match against Brisbane Roar, with the right wing-back position under the most scrutiny following last week’s “blip” against Adelaide United.

The 26-year-old Gulley has endured an injury plagued return to the professional ranks and is yet to make a single appearance for the Phoenix following his move from Team Wellington in the January transfer window. But his return to full health has come at the perfect time as Rudan looks for a solution at the back following the season-ending injury to Louis Fenton.

THE PREDICTION

Brisbane Roar’s season is petering out badly right now having lost their last four matches and they have conceded an alarming 20 goals in their last six. Wellington’s matches have been full of goals also so expect that trend to continue as they make the long trip to Brisbane.
