Aaron Ramsey Posts Emotional Heartgelt Message to Arsenal Fans

Arsenal Midfielder, Aaron Ramsey has sent an emotional message to Arsenal supporters after it was confirmed he has played his final game for the club.

Ramsey was hopeful of recovering from his hamstring injury in time for a potential Europa League final come the end of May but Unai Emery revealed on Wednesday that his Arsenal career is now sadly over.

And later in the day, Ramsey took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt message to Arsenal fans, alongside three throwback images of him donning the Gunners’ strip.

The Welshman, who signed from Cardiff in 2008, wrote:

‘It saddens me to say that the game against Napoli was my last game in an Arsenal shirt. Unfortunately it left me with an injury that rules me out of the remaining games.

‘I am really disappointed not to play until the end and give everything for the club while I am still an Arsenal player. Unfortunately it’s out of my hands but I wanted to say thank you to the fans for your support.

‘It has been a journey, on and off the field, and so much has happened in 11 years. I was a spotty young kid coming in and I’m leaving a man, married, father of three boys and full of pride and good memories that I will treasure.

‘It will be emotional this weekend – my last game at home. I look forward to seeing you there and thank you all again from the bottom of my heart for everything.’

His last appearance in a Gunners shirt will be the 1-0 Europa League quarter-final second leg win over Napoli and though it’s disappointing for the 28-year old, he is grateful for the 11-year journey he’s had in North London and looks forward to the send-off after the final home game of the season on Sunday.
