Brazil vs Argentina

Brazil have not conceded a goal all tournament at the Copa America. Philippe Coutinho’s brace and Everton’s goal saw them down Bolivia 3-0 in their opener and the Selecao have hardly looked back.

Three disallowed goals meant Tite’s team was held to a 0-0 draw against Venezuela but they then powered past Peru.

Brazil vs Argentina Match Preview

Brazil have yet to concede a goal during the 2019 Copa America, but now face what will be much their biggest test as they try to become champions of their continent for the first time since 2007.

Argentina have also won two out of four, taking only one point from their opening pair of matches against Colombia and Paraguay but subsequently looking like they are getting into top gear with back-to-back 2-0 victories in which Inter Milan striker Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring each time.

Both of these big rivals are craving Copa America success because they have not won any of the last three editions between them, with Argentina’s drought stretching back to 1993 – which, of course, is a long time before Lionel Messi et al burst onto the scene.
