Fans Vote For Their Premier League Team Of The Decade

Fans have been voting on the best Premier League players of the last decade and they’ve come up with a pretty decent team.

The end of the year is always a good time for reflection so the end of the decade was always going to bring about a period of looking back at the last 10 years, and football fans are no different.

Interestingly the team is made up of players from just five teams Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United and Spurs, with only two of the players having played for other sides in the English top flight.

N’Golo Kante and Virgil van Dijk are the two to have played for someone else outside their current clubs. Kante won the title with Leicester City but Van Dijk has almost certainly only been voted due to his time with the Reds rather than time with Southampton.

72% of voters picked a 4-3-3 formation, which very much seems like the formation of the last 10 years even if some teams played with a back three with some success.
