In a statement, Fox News Media said, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter.”

Bartiromo spent nearly four decades building one of the most recognizable careers in American financial journalism, breaking barriers on Wall Street before becoming a major force at Fox Business and Fox News.
The Brooklyn-born journalist graduated from New York University, where she studied journalism and economics, a combination that would ultimately define her professional life.
Bartiromo began her television career behind the scenes at CNN Business News, spending five years as a producer, writer, and assignment editor before leaping to CNBC in 1993.
Her career changed dramatically in 1995 when Bartiromo became the first television journalist to report live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange daily.
At just 27, Bartiromo entered an environment then overwhelmingly dominated by men and brought television viewers directly onto the chaotic trading floor.

Her remarkable Fox chapter came to an unexpected conclusion Thursday.
Fox News Media announced September 3 that Bartiromo was leaving after approximately 12½ years, thanking the veteran journalist and wishing her well in her “next chapter.”
Her destination has not been announced.
