Democrats for decades touted they were the “party that protects and respects women,” but when it came time to sow more division amongst our society – because that’s what commies and socialists do – they embraced fake women. That is, biological men who claimed or were pretending to be women.
The ‘transgender’ issue really exploded during Joe Biden’s sleepy four-year term. Democrats went all in on it as part of their woke DEI assault on traditional America. And for a while, they got away with it. But now the Supreme Court has weighed in on the issue and in doing so, proved that a majority of the high court are the real protectors and defenders of women:
The Supreme Court has established a new nationwide precedent that allows states to protect women’s sports.
The justices ruled in favor of West Virginia and Idaho on Thursday against trans athletes who sued to gain access to girls’ sports. The states were backed by the law firm Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF), while the trans athletes were represented by the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and Cooley Legal.
In the highly-anticipated rulings on West Virginia v. B.P.J. and Little v. Hecox, the high court upheld state laws requiring student-athletes to compete on sports teams that correspond with their biological sex at birth rather than their gender identity.
The Supreme Court ruled 6-3.
Justice Sotomayor filed an opinion concurring with the judgment in part and dissenting in part, which Justices Kagan and Jackson joined. Jackson filed an opinion concurring in the judgment in part and dissenting in part.
“Consistent with Title IX and the Equal Protection Clause, we hold that the States may maintain women’s and girls’ sports for biological females. They may determine eligibility for women’s and girls’ sports based on biological sex,” the ruling states.
In praising the decision, West Virginia Attorney General John McCuskey sounded a lot like Democrats of the 1970s and 1980s.
“This is a monumental victory for every female athlete who has ever competed, or dreamed of competing, on a fair and safe playing field. Today’s Supreme Court decision affirms what common sense and the law have long made clear: states have the right to designate sports teams based on biological sex, not gender identity. Without that delineation, Title IX is turned on its head and decades of hard-fought progress to advance female athletes is erased,” he said.
For the record, Republicans were never “against women.” That was 100 percent manufactured BS by the party that lives on projection. What Republicans opposed was what they always oppose when it comes to what Democrats push: That no one, and no group, has more rights and is entitled to more protections than anyone else.
As for this ‘trans’ issue, the high court got it right. Let states do what they will on the issue and the American people will see who the real protectors of women are (Republicans) and who isn’t (Democrats).
