United are understood to have placed an offer on the table of £70million plus Mkhitaryan but The Sun claims that their opening bid has been rejected and that Juventus are looking for an offer of around £86million.
The Serie A giants would not be keen on taking Mkhitaryan to Italy – which is thought to be one of the main reasons for United’s bid being rejected – with the Old Trafford faithful yet to see the best of the Armenian.
